Long Overland Trussed Conveyor (2009)

Project Overview

Kilometre-scale overland trussed conveyor on tripod columns, photographed during final commissioning in February 2009. The blue trussed gallery runs parallel to the haul road and connects the run-of-mine area to the wash plant feed.

Scope of Work

• Repeating tripod-bent module for fast site erection
• Long-span trussed gallery between bents
• Drive station and take-up tower
• Belt protection systems and walkways

Outcome

Replacement of truck haulage with continuous belt transport over kilometres of run, reducing road wear and diesel use.
