Project Overview

Tanjung Bara Coal Terminal (TBCT), operated by PT Kaltim Prima Coal, is the export gateway for one of Indonesia’s largest coal operations. The terminal runs two quadrant-type shiploaders rated at 4,200 t/h each (9,000 t/h combined), serving bulk carriers up to 210,000 DWT. Photographed during a 2010 maintenance campaign with a floating crawler crane assisting on the boom.

Scope of Work

  • Quadrant shiploader maintenance and component overhaul
  • Conveyor idler and pulley replacement on the loading boom
  • Floating-crane lift planning for boom components
  • Coordination with KPC marine and port operations

Outcome

Continuous coal export uptime maintained at one of the world’s largest coal terminals, with planned maintenance executed without disrupting vessel turnaround.
