Project Overview

Self-contained floating transhipment loader with slewing boom for offshore transfer of bulk material from barges to ocean-going vessels. Photographed in service in May 2012.

Scope of Work

• Floating pontoon platform
• Slewing/luffing transfer boom
• Receiving hopper for barge discharge
• Onboard power and control systems

Outcome

Bypass of port draft restrictions — ocean vessels load offshore directly from inland barges via the transhipper.
