Covered Shiploading Conveyor

Project Overview

Green-painted conveyor with fully enclosed roof cladding running along the river edge to a ship-loading tower with a moored bulk carrier alongside. The covered gallery keeps material out of the rain and reduces dust nuisance to nearby neighbours (August 2006).

Scope of Work

• Enclosed conveyor gallery with sheet-metal cladding
• Trussed steel frame on pile-bent supports
• Loading tower with telescopic chute
• Tie-in to upstream river-side stockyard

Outcome

All-weather load-out continues through the monsoon, with significantly reduced dust generation across the riverbank.
