Construction of Coal Stockpile — Coal Blending Automation

Project Overview

Brownfield civil works at a coal port: new reinforced-concrete foundations being cast underneath an existing high-trestle conveyor system. The active stockpile and trestle remain in service above while the foundation crew works the lower level (January 2005).

Scope of Work

• Reinforcement-bar tying and concrete pour under live operation
• Coordination with active stockpile reclaim
• New column ties for downstream conveyor expansion
• Site safety planning under overhead bulk-handling activity

Outcome

Brownfield foundation works delivered safely below an active terminal — ready for the new conveyor flight to land on.
