Overland Conveyors

Overland Conveyors

Long-distance bulk material transport across challenging terrain

Overland Conveyor System
Category: Conveyor Systems
Industries: Mining, Cement, Power
Type: Long-Distance Belt

Overview

ARM Automotion is capable to design and deliver overland conveyor systems for transporting bulk materials across long distances and challenging terrains. These systems replace truck haulage with a continuous, energy-efficient conveying solution that reduces operating costs and environmental impact.

Key Features

  • Single-flight lengths exceeding 10 km with intermediate drive stations
  • Horizontal and vertical curve negotiation over natural terrain
  • Regenerative braking on downhill sections to recover energy
  • Low operating cost compared to truck haulage alternatives
  • Minimal environmental disturbance with narrow corridor footprint
  • Automated control systems with remote monitoring capability

Applications

Overland conveyors are used in mining operations to transport ore from pit to plant, in cement operations to move limestone from quarry to crusher, and in power stations for coal delivery from stockyard to boiler. They are the preferred solution where long-distance, high-volume material transport is needed.

Technical Capabilities

  • Conveyor lengths 3 km and above in single systems
  • Capacities up to 9,000 tonnes per hour
  • Route engineering to minimise earthworks and land disturbance
  • Terrain following profiles with optimised vertical curves
  • Full dynamic analysis for starting, stopping, and emergency braking
